The Polytechnic University of the Philippines – Biñan Campus marked the beginning of the holiday season with the 2025 NSTP Christmas Lighting Ceremony, Parol Presentation, and Caroling Competition held on December 1, 2025. The event brought together NSTP students, officers, performers, and the wider campus community for an evening of festivity, unity, and tradition.
The program began with preparations and a solemn prayer led by NXtGen, followed by an energizing opening performance from the CAC that set a lively and celebratory atmosphere. The Master of Ceremonies formally opened the event and introduced the flow of the program before the NSTP Coordinator delivered the opening remarks. A formal introduction of the NSTP officers followed, leading into the highly anticipated Parol Presentation. Each lantern was showcased and acknowledged for its creativity, craftsmanship, and symbolic meaning. The excitement continued with a raffle draw that further energized the crowd. A reflective and solemn performance by the CAC paved the way for one of the evening’s highlights: the Lighting of the Belen and Christmas Tree Ceremony. The moment served as a symbolic gesture of hope, unity, and the spirit of the season. Campus Director and NSTP President later delivered a heartfelt Christmas message, encouraging students to carry the values of service and compassion throughout the year. The overview of the caroling competition was then presented, introducing the judges and criteria before participating groups took the stage one by one, showcasing their musical talents and creativity. As judges deliberated, another raffle draw kept the audience engaged. The much-awaited announcement of winners followed shortly after, recognizing outstanding performances in the caroling competition. The program concluded with closing remarks from the Master of Ceremonies and a vibrant closing performance by the CAC, sending attendees home with warmth, joy, and holiday spirit.
